Meet Bailee!

My teenage years were a blur of skipped meals and "hanger."  I was eventually diagnosed with hypoglycemia. This constant state of hunger, however, masked a bigger picture that wouldn't become clear until later.

As I entered adulthood, new symptoms emerged, leading doctors to suspect PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome). Yet, I never received a thorough explanation,  only vague mentions of possible cysts on my ovaries. It wasn't until a chance encounter with a book about PCOS and its dietary management that I finally began to connect the dots.

That book was my first glimpse into understanding my symptoms and their connection. However, between juggling culinary school, long hours in the restaurant industry, and neglecting my health made sticking to a "diet" nearly impossible. I fell back into unhealthy eating habits, my weight fluctuated, and my other symptoms worsened.

It wasn't until after marriage and a new life stage that my doctors discussed my future goals, including fertility, and the need to take charge. This time, I ditched the "diet" mentality, focused on long-term lifestyle changes and embraced a holistic approach. These changes laid the foundation for a healthier, happier me, ultimately leading to the joy of motherhood and my energetic little boy.

My journey to motherhood was filled with frustration. Doctors focused on medication, leaving me feeling unheard and yearning for a holistic approach. After a decade in the fast-paced restaurant industry, I transitioned to the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, fueled by my passion for food and inspired by my own "ah-ha" moments. Now, I combine my experiences and knowledge to empower women and families through holistic nutrition, ensuring they feel heard and supported on their own paths to well-being.
