This tasty oatmeal dish is a great way to start your morning. Oatmeal is a great source of fiber and is considered a complete protein, meaning it contains an adequate amount of the nine essential amino acids. Put all the ingredients in a slow cooker before you go to bed and start your day with the deliciously comforting flavours of Autumn!
Slow Cooker Apple Pie Steel Cut Oats:
What you’ll need:
1 Cup steel cut oats
2 Cups Applesauce (or apple juice)
1.5 Cups water
½ Cup Plant Milk of choice (we use oat milk)
2 Tbsp Maple Syrup
1.5 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Vanilla
¼ tsp nutmeg
2 Apples diced
What you’ll do:
Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker and stir
Cook on low heat for 7 hours
Give the oats a stir and serve warm.

⭐You can exchange the apples for other fruits to provide a variety, other fruits we like are peaches and raspberries.
